Acne’s flagship ‘The Stockholm Syndrome’
When Acne Studios wanted to open a new flagship store they collaborated with furniture designer Max Lamb and architectural firm Arquitectura-G. They renovated a building with a uniquely historic past into their new boutique.
The premises is situated in the former bank in the Norrmalmstorg Square building in Stockholm, famous for where the first ever case of “Stockholm syndrome” occurred.
Here they created five ancient looking marble tables to take centre stage in the store.
What we like:
Rather than being just a store it maintains the feel of its banking past while giving the stark and natural look that takes you back to ancient times.
