JBL is all about bringing great sound to every occasion with a range of portable and durable wireless speakers. For consumers, the first interaction with a JBL product is likely to take place in an electronics store. And it’s in this retail environment – with multiple brands battling for attention – that JBL looks to make big impression in the smallest of spaces: the product display.
JBL LIVE headphones
Supreme quality combined with a smooth look, the look and feel of the new JBL Live headphone has been extended to the display. We were responsible for the design, production and (international) installation on the shop floor.
The construction is mainly of metal and due to its rounded corners, a softer overall look is created. The two displays are slightly different in design and can hold 2 or 3 headphones. Less is more with the subtle lighting behind the orange JBL sign and the detailed milled logo each headphone holder contains.
Built to last and designed to be the most powerful portable Bluetooth speaker around, the JBL Boombox delivers sound you can see as well as hear. For this display we wanted to emphasise both its durability and audio power.
The construction is both dramatic and practical; its dimensions make it easy to handle and deliver to the many electronic retailers. The concrete-look base not only complements the speaker’s robust design, but also hints at the Boombox being ideal to rock the streets, the basketball court, or any other outdoor location. The metal chain visualises the speaker’s impressive sound range and is a functional feature too: it keeps the Boombox in place when turned up to maximum volume.
JBL Xtreme 2
The JBL Xtreme 2 is the ultimate portable Bluetooth speaker with a waterproof design and superb stereo sound. To draw attention to its impressive power range, we exhibited the speaker on a block similar to the JBL Boombox display, but fitted it with a sheet of engraved acrylic to resemble cracked glass – a reference to the speaker’s ability to break glass at full power. To ensure the speaker takes centre stage, we gave the display a clean white finish and added a photographic backdrop depicting the JBL Xtreme 2 as the perfect pool time companion.
JBL Soundgear offers a different way to enjoy audio with a wearable wireless speaker. Worn around the neck, it creates a personal sound zone that allows the wearer to experience outstanding sound quality while keeping both ears and hands free. This makes Soundgear the ideal speaker for all kinds of situations, such as watching TV, making phone calls, or in combination with VR glasses. Therefore, we wanted to create a display to really showcase its versatility. The unit features an integrated 10-inch screen for playing content and buttons for testing Soundgear’s audio.
The speaker is presented around a curved acrylic neck that illuminates with orange LED lamps for a truly striking appearance even in the most crowded retail environments.
