Currently topping the market in global smartphone sales, Samsung not only knows how to sell its tech, but has a strong focus on customer service too. And it’s this idea of putting customer experience first that has led to the launch of Samsung Service Centers all around the world, with one of its newest now open in Rotterdam.

As the name suggests, Samsung Service Centers are primarily about taking care of customers who have already purchased a Samsung device by providing expert help, advice and on-site repair. Additionally, the Service Center gives customers the opportunity to get hands on with a range of Samsung handheld products.

This Samsung Service Center is the first of its kind in Rotterdam and only the second location to be opened in the Netherlands. For its realisation, Tchai teamed up with Cheil Benelux (Retail department), who we’ve worked with on previous Samsung projects, including a Samsung Experience Store in Brussels and (pop-up) studios in Amsterdam and Utrecht.

Our starting point was as ambitious as ever: 125 m2 of bare retail space to renovate and a tight deadline of only four weeks. Working with Cheil, we were asked to take care of production and installation of the location’s interior. The main area is where customers can come and meet with Samsung experts and there is a workspace behind the glass panels at the rear. The space is a mix of light and dark wood patterned floors, illuminated product displays, and sleek black fixtures and fittings with a modern industrial finish.

Challenge complete, the Samsung Service Center opened its doors on time and ready to serve customers from Rotterdam and beyond in a friendly face-to-face environment.
