Tchai chat with Anouk

In this edition of Tchai Chat, we're shining a spotlight on Anouk, one of the creatives behind our design initiatives. Anouk is a vibrant Gen Z designer that likes to push boundaries and brings a unique flair to projects. Mainly focussing on brand experiences for new business clients, she loves creating designs that not only captivate but also stand out and challenge the norm.

Anouk, tell us about your role at Tchai and how you infuse your personal style into your designs.

"I’m all about bringing bold ideas to life and giving brands that extra ‘wow’. I love thinking outside the box and creating designs that surprise, stick, and stand out.”

What inspires your creativity, both in and outside of work?

"I get a lot of energy from what’s around me. From techno music to the dynamic cityscape of Rotterdam, where I live with my partner. Being around creative, free-spirited people keeps my ideas flowing. Climbing and getting out into nature also help me stay inspired and active."

How do you stay ahead of design trends while maintaining your own unique style?

"To really stay ahead in design, you can’t just follow trends. By the time they’re everywhere, it’s already too late. I draw inspiration from things I naturally vibe with. Whether that’s art, fashion, or niche creators. For me it's all about blending classic design principles with modern twists, ensuring our work at Tchai remains cutting-edge."

Any favorite projects or collaborations that stand out to you?

"I love how Allardt, my partner in (design) crime, and I collaborate as a team. Especially when there's that natural flow in how we split tasks. One of us might be super fast at modeling, while the other excels at rendering. We just combine forces. It’s the same with presentations. We divide and conquer without even needing to talk about it. That synergy is what makes the work fun."

Finally, what do you find most rewarding about your work at Tchai?

"Beyond the designs themselves, it's the social aspect. The vibe with my colleagues and the creative freedom we share makes it more fun.”
