What caught our eye at Material District 2025?

A selection of what we saw, liked, and what stuck with us.

Sustainability goes premium

Sustainable materials are no longer just experimental or “creative chic”. They’re refined, professional, and ready for real-world use. From recycled textiles to bio-based composites and durable MDF, we saw options that combine environmental impact with a high-end look and feel.

Large scale 3D printing

A big trend: large-scale 3D printing with robotic arms. Where last year there was one company showcasing this, now there are several. The results? Smooth, complex forms that feel more crafted than printed. Thanks to better materials, advanced software like Grasshopper, and even AI-generated designs.

Material as emotion

We’re always looking for materials that create a feeling. This year, many stood out not just for what they are, but for what they evoke. From concrete prints to soft recycled textiles, materials are tools for storytelling.

Smart presentation matters

Some stands stood out not just for their products, but for how they were presented. As pioneers in brand experience, we recognize the power of presentation. These examples offered fresh perspectives and sparked new ideas for how we might shape future spaces.

Building a better future

From patterned solar panels to practical eco-materials, the industry is clearly moving forward. Materials are smarter, greener, and relevant for work we do and the path we are currently on.
